A fibreglass fitted bulkhead can be fitted to certain models to increase the buoyancy of the boat in the event of a capsize – there is less water to empty. They have the secondary advantage of stiffening up the deck too. Please note that due to the nature of the racing steering system, bulkheads are not full watertight and so we recommend storing these boats with the rudder hatch off so the compartment can breath to prevent any potential water damage.
