The sister boat to the Neon surfski, the Neon GT takes the same design to a completely different place. Two years in the making, it’s a perfect balance of stability, weight and refined surf performance. It’s great fun to paddle and fits a wide range of paddlers. We’re thrilled with the result. The Neon GT sports an extra loop of bungee at the stern, to store a set of paddles along the deck. The two hatch compartments give you 45 litres of storage in the bow and 50 litres in the stern. Plenty for day, overnight and alpine-style “fast and light” extended trips.
Each compartment is fully lined with a structural pod that has a gloss finish to match the outside of the boat. These pods act as bulkheads and are individually pressure, before being drilled with an air equalisation hole. This meticulous process essentially forms three separate flotation areas inside the hull (the two pods and the hull itself) bringing an extra level of safety and redundancy, while allowing for distribution of kit to aid with trim.
We only use tried and tested premium quality rubber KajakSport hatches, 20cm at the front and 24cm at the stern. This gives you easy access to stow your kit while retaining maximum watertightness even in big conditions. Each of the hatches are tethered under the deck for added security.
The Neon GT comes with a carbon low profile rudder as standard but can be fitted with a SmartTrack overstern rudder for those that need it. The SmartTrack is not quite as sensitive, but is a very practical option when paddling in shallow water, where other rudders can be vulnerable. The blade is spring-loaded forwards so is free to kick-up if knocked from the front, protecting the rudder and the hull. Using the recessed uphaul line and cleat behind the seat, you can easily lift and deploy the blade – ideal for beach landings and clearing weed. We’ve made every effort to recess and hide the steering lines beneath the deck, keeping it minimal and completely free from clutter.
For peace of mind, the boat comes ready to take both rudder systems so you can easily swap them in the future.

We'll need a minimum 10% deposit to secure your build slot. Do this as soon as possible to prevent delays to your order. The deposit may be paid by bank transfer or card.
We can only start your build once we have your final specification, so don’t delay too long. The choices can be overwhelming so please ask if you are unsure about anything.
We will give you a call or send an email when your boat is ready for collection. Full payment should be made before the boat leaves the factory, but you can look the boat over first.
Shipping kayaks is pricey so you'll probably want to collect the boat from our Devon factory. We can often deliver to the canoeing events we attending too.
