The highlights...

  • Bulkhead option for improved buoyancy and deck rigidity
  • Storage hatch option for light touring use
  • Special touring constructions available on request
  • Efficient hull and excellent water-shedding deck shape

Meeting the requirement of the traditional Scandinavian touring class, by a whisker, this fast touring K1 is a small step up from the Tercel. With a lower volume deck and higher seat, it offers a more efficient paddling position and can be configured for touring with special reinforcement if necessary.

Designed by Bjorn Johansen is is available with a the option of a rear deck hatch and bulkhead. The bulkhead is required for the Scandinavian touring class, to guarantee the hull fits the precise maximum beam requirements. A K1 marathon rudder is now fitted as standard with this design (not pictured).

The Escape is available in toughened constructions, namely the No.10s and and No.1s, so if you need extra durability then please get in touch. Due to supply issues we are no longer able to fit the traditional Escape rudder and skeg, although by special request we can fit the sliding Escape footrest system, which can be adjusted by lifting with your feet. Please note that this system is not suitable for use with a pull bar.
