Typhoon

Stability
3/10

The highlights...

  • Available in two sizes for paddlers 60-80kg and 80-100kg
  • Two 2-pin seat heights available for to those looking for maximum stability
  • Extra stability so you can put the power down with confidence
  • Extra space in the footwell of the XL for longer legs and larger feet

The modern sleek lines of the Typhoon make a boat that it as fast as any top-spec K1’s from the 1980’s, but with a welcome stability boost when compared to today’s top racers. The result is the freedom to paddle with confidence and power without compromising efficiency.

With cross sections designed to minimize wobble without adversely affecting speed, the Typhoon is a great choice for paddlers looking to progress into the top ranks. Experienced paddlers at the other end of their career, will find the Typhoon a comfortable platform which performs excellently. Endurance athletes will also welcome the improved stability, as fatigue sets in and water conditions worsen.

A low 2-pin seat is the standard option for maximum stability, but a high 2-pin seat is available at no extra charge for a greater challenge and superior seating position. For comparison, the low 2-pin seat is approximately 50mm from the keel to the front of the seat pan and a standard platform seat (in its low adjustment) is 85mm.

The rounded centre section and v’eed forward sections makes for a sea kindly craft that performs well in a wide range of conditions.

The Typhoon is also available in a higher volume, purpose built with the larger paddler in mind (up to 100kg). It has increased rocker to allow good rudder response despite the increased size. The redesigned high deck provides ample foot space for the tall paddlers, as well as the flexibility to increase the length of the factory fitted footrest.

high-volume Typhoon

Designed for the heavier paddler, this model has increased rocker to allow good rudder response. Suitable for paddlers weighing between 80 and 100kg. Other specifications remain the same.
