Pulsar

Stability
8/10

The highlights...

  • Ultra-fine bow to allow clear paddle entry to the water
  • Good primary and secondary stability for developing paddlers
  • Modern sleek racing appearance
  • Improved comfort for smaller paddlers
  • Suitable for a wide range of paddler weights

With an fine cut-down deck and distinctive hull design, the Kirton Pulsar is for the aspiring kayaker looking to develop their technique and stability. Developed form the Kirton Talisman, the Pulsar has the substance and style of a true race kayak, but without the unnerving wobble.

We’ve improved the comfort for smaller paddlers, and completely redesigned the front deck to improve access to the water and add strength to the boat. All paddlers will appreciate its comforting initial stability, thanks to the flattened hull shape which replicates the feel of a much wider craft. The reinforced v’eed keel improves tracking and rigidity. Compared to higher stability boats, the Pulsar is noticeably smoother and more efficient in the water and offers a truly competitive racing edge.

Probably the most remarkable feature of the Pulsar comes in its ability to actively encourage good paddling technique and posture. The steep sides make it more challenging to sit than our most stable boats, so optimal performance can only be achieved with focus, correct balance and even paddle strokes. However, it’s stable enough to be mastered quickly, allowing your confidence and ability to flourish.
