The highlights...

  • Great handling and performance in rougher water
  • Versatile design which can even be used as as family boat
  • Special touring constructions available on request
  • Shorter and more convenient than a racing K2
  • Rounded deck and hull for excellent water shedding
  • Suitable for even for the most unstable paddlers

Being slightly shorter than a racing K2, the Tasman is a great all-rounder, and is really comfortable to paddle on flat-water. For the more experienced, it is an enjoyable estuarine kayak for use on those inhospitable blowy days. It can even be used on the sea when paired with correct equipment.

It is the preferred choice of the totally inexperienced newcomer who wishes to do the Devizes to Westminster marathon for personal gain or for charity. It also makes a great fun family boat, that’s easy to carry and super-stable.

This long established work horse was originally designed for a crossing of the Tasman sea, a trip that it never actually took. However, it was used in an Antarctic expedition to Elephant Island, where its performance was proved.

Contact

Give us a call or send an email if you have any questions. After all, that's what we're here for! We won't sell you anything you don't need. We just want you to be in the right boat.

Deposit

We'll need a minimum 10% deposit to secure your build slot. Do this as soon as possible to prevent delays to your order. The deposit may be paid by bank transfer or card.

Choices

We can only start your build once we have your final specification, so don’t delay too long. The choices can be overwhelming so please ask if you are unsure about anything.

Payment

We will give you a call or send an email when your boat is ready for collection. Full payment should be made before the boat leaves the factory, but you can look the boat over first.

Collect

Shipping kayaks is pricey so you'll probably want to collect the boat from our Devon factory. We can often deliver to the canoeing events we attending too.
