The highlights...

  • Two 2-pin seat heights available – low and high.
  • Improved tracking and suitability for lighter crews compared to the previous models.
  • Work-horse constructions available
  • Great option for heavier crews looking to do the DW
  • Fresh deck design that is stronger and lighter that any of the previous models

A stable racing K2, now in its third generation. Building on the successes of the Mystere, Meister and Torque v1, the Torque 2 is the ultimate crew boat for paddlers looking for performance, stability and style.

With a little flatness towards the rear cockpit, and a gentle chine for improved tracking, this is a great stable racing boat for private, clubs and school paddling.

The sculpted deck, adds stiffness while reducing weight. Deck cutaways at both cockpit positions allow better access to the water, for improved technique and help with water shedding. It offers an excellent, efficient cruising speed. Crews struggling with balance will likely find it considerably faster that the Kirton Mirage and improve their competitive edge. Recommended for marathon racing and the Devizes to Westminster Easter challenge.

The Torque 2 has an improved rocker line that improves the overall tracking and is now more suitable for medium to light-weight crews.

Note: The Torque is stable for a K2 but is is still a racing boat and we do not recommend this boat for absolute beginners. However, it can quickly be mastered by most with the correct instruction and plenty of practice. Also note, with very light crews, we recommend trailing a Mirage or M.50 as this is sometimes more comfortable despite the the lower stability rating.
